Later life transitions, as well as living with chronic or serious health conditions, can bring reflection, change, and sometimes uncertainty. Retirement, changes in health, loss of loved ones, shifting roles, or adjusting to new living situations may prompt deeper questions about identity, meaning, and purpose. For individuals managing ongoing or complex medical conditions, these questions can feel especially present and important.
I provide a supportive, compassionate space for older adults and individuals facing chronic or significant health challenges to navigate these experiences with dignity, respect, and emotional support.
Life Review and Reminiscence Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals reflect on their life experiences in a structured, meaningful way. Rather than dwelling on the past, this process honors personal history while supporting emotional well-being in the present—regardless of stage of life or health status.

Life Review and Reminiscence Therapy involves guided reflection on life experiences, important relationships, accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned. Through conversation, storytelling, memory prompts, and meaningful discussion, individuals are supported in making sense of their life journey.
This process can help:
Integrate past experiences into a coherent life story
Strengthen a sense of identity and self-worth
Reduce feelings of regret, sadness, or unresolved emotion
Increase meaning, peace, and emotional clarity
Support coping with aging, illness, and life changes
Life review therapy is not about judgment or reliving painful moments alone. It is about understanding how life experiences have shaped who you are—and recognizing resilience, growth, and personal values along the way.
Goals We Can Work On

Life transitions and health challenges can bring a wide range of emotions, including grief, anxiety, acceptance, gratitude, or uncertainty. Therapy can be especially helpful for individuals experiencing:
Retirement or role changes
Loss of a spouse, partner, friends, or family members
Chronic illness or serious medical conditions
Changes in physical ability or independence
Adjusting to assisted living, caregiving needs, or medical care environments
Questions about meaning, legacy, or life purpose
Feelings of loneliness, sadness, or identity loss
Through reminiscence and supportive dialogue, individuals can process these experiences while feeling heard, respected, and valued. Sessions may include storytelling, photographs, music, memory prompts, or open conversation—always guided by what feels meaningful and accessible to you.
My role is not to direct your story, but to create a space where reflection feels safe, supportive, and empowering. I believe every life story matters.
